Stormy weather
Since my man and I ain't together,
Keeps rainin all the time
Life is bare, gloom and misery everywhere
Stormy weather
Just cant get my poor self together,
I'm weary all the time

So we belong to a CSA again. The last one was all beets, all the time (not really, but it feels like that as time goes by). This one is the opposite of that. Totally. It's bread and jam for Frances, chicken once, chicken twice, chicken soup with rice, sticky toffee pudding, spinach, herbs, greens, salsa, black beans, and so on. They draw from all sorts of local growers and producers, so we don't wind up with the same farm and the dreary beets.

I'm weary with my former toil,
Here I will sit and rest a while:
Under the shadow I will be,
Of Jesus Christ the apple tree.
This fruit doth make my soul to thrive,
It keeps my dying faith alive:
Which makes my soul in haste to be
With Jesus Christ the apple tree.
Think about every town you've lived in
Every room you've laid your head
And what is it you remember?
Do you carry every sadness with you?
Every hour your heart was broken?
Every night the fear and darkness
Lay down with you?

Because I need to binge on something that isn't coffee, I have joined Not Mary Poppins in her book binge. I'm going to read like mad this month. And then write a list! It's designed just for me! And since I finished the book club book this past month for the first time in almost a YEAR, I have recently rediscovered that reading is fun. Stupid, stupid Bridgett.
