Quick One-Handed Post About Nursing

Greens are now yellow (all this obsession over poop). Staying on one side for 4 hours seems to have helped. I'm still going to watch and wait before I do anything about my milk consumption, which isn't huge anyway--as a family we go through a gallon and a half in two weeks. Cheese is another question....

But the big news? Last night Leo slept from 11 until 3:30, and then 4:30 until 6:45. I feel like a different person. Of course, tonight we have to sleep-deprive Maeve for her EEG, so that will probably ruin it. Ok, maybe not ruin--but it won't help.

Congratulations on your new baby! As for this business of one-handed blogging while nursing — now that's what I call multi-tasking!

OK. I understand the theory about the sleep deprivation--making her fall asleep naturally during the test to get to the brain waves that really count. However, does it ever feel like some researcher/doctor just arbitrarilly came up with aggravating lists of conditions for tests? Let's sleep deprive them and see what that does. . .maniacal laughter. . .let's make diabetics not eat until they are starved. . .giggles. . .andthen make them. . .titter. . .
ingest some syrupy concoction on a time limit. . .more maniacal laughter.
I'm guessing antibiotics don't need to taste like shit either. What other fun can medical people have?

That's a good little boy. Where did I miss a post about Maeve's EEG?

Congratulations on the long sleeps!
Your mentioning one-handed typing (how do you manage?) reminded me that when my second daughter was born, the minute I would start to nurse her the older one, who was two, would climb into my lap with a book so I could read to her. It's a good thing that the baby was a tenacious nurser, what with all the jostling she got.

Kate: it's follow up from the seizure. It's probably fever-induced (febrile) and nothing to worry about, but we want to check on it just in case.

One handed typing: When I broke my collarbone in 10th grade, I was in a typing (keyboarding) class and learned to center my one hand on fghj and move from there. Shifting is hard for $%^&* (45678) but otherwise it's ok.
