Ten On Tuesday: Ten things I do during "me" time

What's "me" time? Just kidding. I get a lot of "me" time. So here's some things I do:

1. Antiquing. I love doing this. I have a lot of groups of things I'm obsessed with, after all.
2. Blogging. Most of my me time goes here nowadays, since I can't get away as much as I'd like (from the house, I mean, not from the blogs)
3. Going to the library all alone
4. Writing letters to Marita and Rachel
5. Going to Clyde (this is super specified "me" time, since it only happens, max, 3 times a year)
6. Genealogy
7. Quilting
8. Knitting (although most often this happens while waiting to do other things)
9. Watching reruns on DVD. Mostly Law & Order
10. Contemplation. Really. I contemplate when I can, but only when I know I have the time. Otherwise I just blog or knit or whatnot.

I'm glad you do no.2 and I like no.10, suspecting that a lot of contemplation goes into your blogs too.

Ah, going to the library. Great, isn't it?

I have never seen Law and Order. Maybe that should become my next obsession.

Like Mali, I'm glad for #2. And does #4 involve real letters, not email? If so, how wonderful.

I love antiquing as well. It's my favorite Saturday afternoon occupation when my husband is at work :-)

Which shops do you go to? I've been to several of the ones on Cherokee St., and also the two right next to each other on the west side of Big Bend (near Dale-ish, maybe? It all runs together in my mind...) I'm sure there are great shops I'm missing out on.

I like Cherokee--we've gotten big things from there (like furniture). For little things that aren't on the expensive collector side, I actually like the antique malls like the one in South County. There are some, though, that aren't worth the effort...

There were two or three in CWE I really liked but it's been a few years since I've been over there.

I've never been over to the ones on Big Bend. My favorites are small town ones that lean towards primitive as opposed to oriental rugs, you know?
